WHAT IS BALANCE-

*making 2 compositions using 5 elements 

  SYMMETRICAL BALANCE 

In the above composition the main idea was to show symmetrical balance , I have used a women's portrait and have edited and converted it into a black and white picture so as to enhance the major color red in this composition . If we split the above composition vertically , we would notice that the two sides are identical making it a symmetrical image . Plus to show balance the weights are divided equally on both the sides . Also I have used smudging to give it a more intriguing look .

 ASYMMETRICAL BALANCE

In the above composition , the main idea was to show asymmetrical balance , I have used the same portrait and have placed it in the middle . As a headgear three roses are placed on the top right of the portrait , and to make it balanced a large rose , approximately the size of all the tree roses is places on her left shoulder . Now to balance out the background I have played with lines , vertical at one side and horizontal at the other . To make the composition look more interesting I have used triangles to entangle the woman , the two triangles used here are not put in a symmetrical way , but still are balanced on both the sides . And to enhance the look I have added a red glow from behind to bring out the element of red .
